SEAMAN RUSHED TO HOSPITAL (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, March .31. Three hours ahead of her time after a dash at full speed to the New Zealand coast, the Bank Line motor-ship Forresbank arrived in Auckland Harbour at an early hour this morning to land an Indian member of the crew who needed urgent medical attention. The injured 'man was 1 Derimeri Frigun, an able-bodied seaman, who suffered a fractured ankle, a fractured leg and head injuries in an accident at sea. He was admitted to the Auckland Hospital at 5.30 a.m. and his condition is not serious The Forresbank was due at Auckland later in the morning to discharge phosphate from Nauru Island and her agents, the British Phosphate Commission, were not aware of any change in her plans until about 11 o’clock last night. Then the New Zealand manager of the commission, 'Mr T. H. Donaldson, received a radio message from the ship stating she was making all possible speed to port as it was imperative for the injured man to receive immediate attention. Arrangements were made with the Auckland Harbour Board and on arrival of the ship the injured man was transferred to the pilot launch Waitemata which proceeded at full 'speed to the Admiralty steps where it was met by an ambulance.
