ENGINEERS’ VISIT TO HOLLYFORD
INSPECTION of homer. TUNNEL
A party of 40 civil engineers from Otago and Southland will visit Hollyford Valley and inspect the Homer tunnel during the week-end. It is an educational tour which has been arranged by the Southland branch of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers. Mr G. R. Milward, engineer to the Southland County Council, who is chairman of the Southland branch, wiL lead the party. The party will consist of 20 engineers from Otago and 20 from Southland. The Otago contingent motored to Mossbum last evening. It will be met by the Southland contingent early this morning, and the whole party will go to the Hollyford today. The night will be spent at Cascade Creek, and the parties will return to their homes tomorrow afternoon.
