MR C.A. SHARP BIDDEN FAREWELL

ACTIVITIES IN SPORT AT WYNDHAM Before his departure from Wyndham, Mr C. A. Sharp, who is leaving to take up an appointment with the Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, was presented with a gold wristlet watch by the members of the Wyndham Ladies’ Hockey Club, the Wyndham Tennis Club and the Wyndham amateur players. Mr Sharp has for several years been official coach for the hockey club and he has been one of the most prominent tennis players in Southland. Since the inception he has also taken a keen interest in the running of the Wyndham Amateur Players. . In making the presentation, which was informal, Mr C. E. Davey wished Mr Sharp, on behalf of the clubs, every success, happiness and prosperity in his new vocation and at the same time expressed a sincere wish that Mr Sharp would return to Wyndham, even if only for short visits. Mr Sharp replied.
