AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIALS FIRM ON INVERCARGILL EXCHANGE
The market for Government securities remained unchanged on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday. _ Banks were very quiet, buye’s appearing for only two lines: National of New ealands at £2 5/6 and Unions at £B. Insurances were inactive. Australian industrials were firm, good inquiry coming for Broken Hill Proprietaries, G. J Coles and Tobaccos. Australian mining stocks were steady to firm. Sales of Mosgiel Woollens at £9 7/6 and Southland Frozen Meats at £1 7/6 were reported. Quotations were called as follows: —
