OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED (Special to The Times) DUNEDIN, February 12. The Otago amateur cycling championships, held on the Caledonian ground on Saturday, were attended by only a handful of spectators. The events produced some interesting racing but the protracted heats system used in the 50 metres sprint, though being a fair method of elimination, was not a spectacular success, and but for the several athletic events there would have been little to claim the attention of the onlookers. The new cycle track was in good order though the heavy coating of screenings made it a little dead. — 1000 METRES TIME TRIAL
