Mr Chapple’s contribution to the bibliography of New Zealand literature should cause pleasant debates among collectors. The introductory essay will probably be considered a little too brief, for most of its “suggestions” are stimulating; but the addenda and corrigenda have been compiled carefully, and will be of great value to students and specialists. The publishers have performed a service to New Zealand literature by making available a brochure that must have only a limited demand. The edition is of 500 copies, numbered, and signed by the author.
