Yacht Events on Waitemata
Fifty overseas yachtsmen are expected to compete in the New Zealand 18ft sailing championship races on the Waitemata Harbour, Auckland, during the present month. A world’s sailing championship will be held at the same time, and Mr Schahell, the holder of the title, has announced that his yacht Taree will» compete. The races will be held on February 15, 18 and 20, starting at 3 p.m. each day. Yachts may be nominated by any recognized yacht club, and the championship is to be awarded on points.
