DEFENCE EXPENDITURE IN AUSTRALIA
COMPENSATION FOR SETBACK OF POOR PRICES (Special to The Times) AUCKLAND, February 5.. “Expenditure on defence in Australia is going to make up for the setback of a season of poor prices for general produce, and I anticipate that the building industry is going to have one of the brightest times,” said Mr T. .W. Cunnersen, a timber merchant and importer, of Melbourne, who passed through Auckland in the Mariposa.
