JEWS IN POLAND PROTEST
BRITAIN’S PALESTINE POLICY MASS DEMONSTRATION BY THOUSANDS (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received February 6, 10.15 p.m.) WARSAW, February 5. On the eve of the conference in London thousands of Jews in Poland took part in a mass demonstration, passing identical resolutions against the suspension of immigration to Palestine and determining to resist the reduction of the Jews in Palestine to the status of a minority. A Jewish delegation later handed a resolution to the British Ambassador addressed to King George. Copies were sent to the British Prime Minister (Mr Neville Chamberlain) and the Foreign Secretary (Viscount Halifax). An addendum states that 190,000 Polish Jews are settled in Palestine.
