INDIAN ULTIMATUM TO BRITAIN?
DEMAND FOR RIGHT TO FORM CONSTITUTION
(Received February 6, 10.50 p.m.) JALPAIGURI, February 5.
The Bengal Congress at a political conference passed a resolution urging the All-India Congress to send an ultimatum to Britain seeking a categorical answer within six months to India’s national demand for the right to form her own constitution by constituent assembly and reiterating her uncompromising opposition to federation, the congress to reserve its right to take any necessary action to enforce its demand if Britain does not reply or replies unsatisfactorily.
