Richly Bred

A fine type of young trotter in A. McLellan’s team at Invercargill is a three-year-old filly by Maxegin from Seamist. In the work she has done the youngster has shown some ability at the square gait and may be expected to race earlier than most trotters. His sire, Maxegin, was a good winner as a t-ottei and with limited opportunities has left a number of useful winners, Supertax, being his best to date. Seamist first raced as a pacer but on being converted to the square gait she won a number of good races. She was by Wrack from the imported mare Noiseless, the dam of another winner in Wrackless.
