RESTORATION PLOT IN SIAM
RETIRED ARMY OFFICERS FAIL BANGKOK, January 30. An official broadcast revealed the discovery of a plot aimed at the restoration of the former King Prajadhipok of Siam by a number of army officers who had retired without gratuity or pension. One suspect committed suicide while under escort to Bangkok, and a retired officer was shot dead while evading The country is quiet.
King Prajadhipok abdicated on March 2. 1935, and King Ananda Mahidol, who is now 13 years old. was proclaimed, a Council < f Regency being appointed to act during his minority
