MIXED RINKS AT R.S.A. GREEN

TOURNAMENT WON BY MRS GRANT’S RINK

The annual mixed rinks tournament arranged by the Southland Ladies’ Bowling Association was held on the Returned Soldiers’ Association’s green yesterday. Men players occupied the lead and third positions and women played second and skip. Fourteen rinks competed. The playing conditions were good and a high standard of bowls was played, particularly in the final between rinks skipped by Mrs O. Grant and Mrs Cooper. Each of these rinks was undefeated in sectional play. The winning rink was L. Cross, Mrs Fraser, W. Keys and Mrs O. Grant. Mr W. Mcßride was the umpire. Following are the results:— FIRST ROUND
