FORMER CRICKETERS IN AUSTRALIA

BRADMAN KEEN TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 28. Mr D. Reece returned from Australia by the Awatea. While in the Commonwealth he looked up a number of former and present cricketers, including D. G. Bradman, who said he was very keen to visit New Zealand. He had recovered well from the injury suffered in England. Mr Reece said he spent some time with Warwick Armstrong, A. Noble, and Clem Hill. Armstrong weighs 21 stone, but actually is no heavier than when playing in 1921; “No wonder he frightened the batsmen,” said Mr Reece, who added that Armstrong wa§ keeping very well. Mr Reece visited Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. He was the representative of the West Coast Saw Millers’ Association at the timber congress in Melbourne.
