First Offender For Drunkenness
In the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday morning a first offender for drunkenness was- fined 12/-. Mr Michael Miller, J.P., presided.
Big Surf at Oreti
There was a big suiT running at Oreti Beach on Saturday afternoon when a life-saving display was given by members of the Oreti Surf LifeSaving Club. At the time the “patient” went out alone into the surf a cold wind was blowing and most of the visitors—although sympathetic—were content to watch the “rescue” from their cars.
