MR PIROW TALKS WITH HITLER

South African Views On Colonies HOUR’S DISCUSSION AT BERCHTESGADEN (United Pfess Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received November 25, 7.20 p.m.) LONDON, November 24. The South African Minister of Defence (Mr O. Pirow) and King Carol of Rumania interviewed Herr Hitler at Berchtesgaden. The Munich correspondent of The Daily Telegraph says it is authoritatively, stated that Mr Pirow’s discussions with Herr Hitler dealt with the colonial claims, the treatment of South African Germans and German trade relations with South Africa. Mr Pirow talked with Herr Hitler for an hour, in the presence of the German Foreign Minister (Herr Joachim von Ribbentrop). Well-informed circles declare that the discussion included An-glo-German relations. Mr Pirow will arrive in Rome on Sunday. He will be the guest of the Government, and will discuss the African problem with the Italian Foreign Minister (Count Galeazzo Ciano) and Signor Mussolini. NAZI POLICE TO WEAR SOUTHERN CROSS (Received November 25, 6.30 p.m.) BERLIN, November 24. It is announced that to uphold the tradition of the German colonial police, certain police forces will wear the Southern Cross on their left sleeves.
