SEPOY KILLS THREE BRITISH OFFICERS
TRAGEDY IN PUNJABI BATTALION (Received November 25, 6.30 p.m.) PESHAWAR, November 24. A sepoy attached to the Punjabi battalion stationed at Nowshera ran amuck. He shot dead Colonel E. H. Gray, the officer commanding, who was sleeping in his tent, after which he killed a British captain, a lieutenant who rushed to the scene and two Indian officers. He also wounded two British majors, a lieutenant and an Indian Officer.
The battalion, fearing a Pathan attack, manned the barricades and shot the murderer dead as he was fleeing from the camp.
