It is essential to pay detailed attention to the choice of shoes and gloves. Admittedly, the woman of today is much more foot conscious than she was a few years ago, but, just the same, enough attention is not paid to the choice of shoes. Shoes which match an evening gown will give greater height than those which contrast, although if they contrast with the gown and match a jacket or shoulder posy, they will tend to hax e a lengthening effect. If slenderness is desired, match the shoes and stockings as near as possible to the colour worn.
