Fleming Shield And Rose Bowl SIX MATCHES PLAYED Two matches in the Fleming Shield and four in the Rose Bowl croquet competitions were played during the week. In the Fleming Shield matches Northend beat Waihopai by nine games to nil, and Gore beat Rugby Park by six games to three. In the Rose Bowl competition Gore beat Invercargill by five games to four, Waihopai beat Northend by five games to four, Georgetown beat Bluff by nine games to nil and Southend beat Winton by seven games to one.
