MODERN METHOD OF PRESERVING
An interesting exhibit on display at this show is the stand of Messrs Holloway Bros., Ltd., 126 Tay Street, Invercargill, with the Fowler Vacola Bottling Outfit. This new method of preserving fruit, Vegetables and meats is very simple and easy and essential to every household. The pleasure of the housewife to be able to serve to her visitors a dainty out of season dish such as roast duck, quail, green peas, fruit salad, broad beans, french beans, tomatoes, strawberries, cherries, apples, pears, peaches, grapes, would indeed be great besides the numerous other dishes that can be served with so little expense, and in so short a notice. In fact, all perishable foodstuffs can be successfully bottled and preserved by the Fowler Method. The exhibit consists of a full range of bottled fruit, vegetables and meats, and also a full display of the different types of complete outfits.
