THURSDAY (Before Mr R. C. Abernethy, S.M.) Judgment for plaintiff was given in the following undefended case:—Southland Coal Company v. J. Willis (Riverton), for £1 13/3, costs 8/-. Leonard Wilfred Barrett (Mr K. G. Roy), sports dealer, Dee street, sought to recover from William Lancelot Taylor (Mr H. M. Hopper) possession of a residential flat, being part of the business premises of the plaintiff. On behalf of the plaintiff Mr Roy said that the defendant rented the flat on a weekly tenancy. He submitted that the provisions of the Fair Rents Act applied in the case. The hearing of the case was adjourned.
