OMISSION IN NOTES OF EVIDENCE
DICTAPHONE RECORD USED TO FILL GAP (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 24. An omission in the typewritten notes of evidence in the Supreme Court yesterday was repaired by reference to the dictaphone record and today when the case was resumed, the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) commented on the value of the mechanical notes. His Honour drew counsel’s attention to the omission.
“I knew he had said it, but I took the precaution of sending for the mechanical note. It shows the value of the mechanical note,” said Sir Michael.
