LECTURE TO BE GIVEN BY DR C. C. ANDERSON The last general meeting and lecture of the year of the Southland branch of the Royal Society will be held tonight. The lecturer will be Dr C. C. Anderson, M. 8., Ch.B., F.8.A.R., D.M.R.E., who will lecture on the discovery of the X-ray by Roentgen. He will also discuss some of the aspects of X-ray .work, particularly its application to the scientific side of museum work and its industrial uses. An original paper will be read by Mr J. H. Sorensen, director of the Southland Museum, on “An Occurrence of Dasypodia in Southland.” Dasypodia selenophora is the moon moth which has been found ’in such numbers in Southland this year. Some Maori relics recently acquired by the Southland museum will be on view.
