FORMER MODERATOR OF CHURCH OF SCOTLAND
VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 28. A distinguished Scotsman arrived by the Monterey today. He was the Very Rev. Dr Dugald Macfarlane, formerly Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. Auckland Scots, including a piper, gave him a warm welcome as the ship berthed. Dr Macfarlane will attend the Presbyterian General Assembly in Dunedin next week and in his address will deliver a commission to the church in this country. He will leave for Wellington tonight. After visiting Dunedin he will go to Hawke’s Bay, where he has relations.
