SOLUTION TO PROBLEM ON PAGE 13 The evidence was something which both Lily and Hoopinghoe had overlooked—Lily’s fingerprints in, and on the cover of, Hoopinghoe’s notebook. The receiver, unable to find a satisfactory explanation of these, talked himself into a tangle; and in the end was unable to extricate himself.
