HITCH IN REOPENING OF COAL MINES
WORKERS’ BOYCOTT OF TWO PITS
(Received October 24, 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 24.
A. hitch occurred in the arrangements for reopening the coal mines today as a result of disputes at a couple of northern and southern pits, which the miners boycotted. The mine owners, as a reprisal, immediately renounced that all pits would remain closed all day tomorrow and that the men have until noon to call off these disputes.
