BIBLE CLASS RALLY AT BLUFF
400 YOUNG PEOPLE ATTEND GATHERING <
The rally held at Bluff yesterday by Presbyterian Bible classes of Southland was one of the most successful of recent years, 400 young people visiting the port to take part in the gathering. The roll call, which was conducted by Miss W. Dolamore, showed that the gathering was a representative one. Members, leaders and ministers from all parts of Southland were present. The meeting in the Town Hall was addressed by the Rev. F. B. Barton, of Gore. The Rev. J. A. Thomson, of Invercargill, acted as chairman. Reference was made to the next Dominion Bible Class conference to be held during Christmas and New Year at Gore. The afternoon session took the form of rounders and cricket at Argyle Park. An organized hike embracing Bluff Hill, the reservoir and the Glory Track, was also held. The party returned round the Point to Argyle Park. The complete arrangements made by the Bluff class under the Rev. T. A. Speer were of material assistance.
