Pontoon
A pontoon is any temporary floating structure that forms part of a bridge across a river. Pontoons
are in various forms, mostly cylindrical and hollow, others take the shape Of deck-boats locked together. Pontoon bridges capable of supporting railways are a feature of modern military equipment.
