HORSE PARADE AT GORE

GOOD QUALITY SHOWN IN SMALL ENTRY The Gore Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s annual horse parade was held at the Gore show ground yesterday afternoon in boisterous weather. The entry was a small one comprising four Clydesdales and one hackney. Considerable interest was shown in the parade, however, and there was a big attendance of spectators. Mr C. Weir acted as announcer and said that the entry was limited,. but what it lacked in quantity it made it up in quality. The districts of Eastern Southland and Southland were fortunate in having at their service three or four of the best sires in the Dominion, said Mr Weir.

HORSE SALE AT GORE There was an entry of 60 horses forward at the monthly horse sale conducted by the Nattional Mortgage and Agency Company, Limited, in its horse bazaar, Mersey street, Gore, yesterday. Young working sorts, well-recom-mended, sold at prices on a par with recent sales, top price being £26 10/— for a four-year-old gelding.
