LIGHTNING AS GOLF HAZARD
The United States Golf Associa-
tion has tacitly recognized light- \ ning as a golf hazard. Notwithstanding the rule that compels tournament contestants to proceed regardless of weather conditions, on pain of disqualification, the United States Golf Association Committee now adopts a lenient attitude in regard to temporary cessation of play during thunderstorms. Competitors . are advised to seek shelter during an electrical storm. Lightning is regarded as a valid excuse for interruptions.
