MISCELLANEOUS SECTION QUIET ON INVERCARGILL EXCHANGE

Government 4 per cent, issues were unchanged on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday. Banks were steady to firm, New Zealands being at £2 2/9, Nationals at £2 12/6 and Commercials at 16/5. There was a quiet tone in the miscellaneous section, New Zealand issues having weak inquiry. Sales of Southland Frozeh Meats at £1 10/1, Broken Hill Proprietaries at £2 16/3, National Insurances at 16/8, New Zealand Insurances at £2 14/3 and £2 14/4 and G. J. Coles at £3 17/- were reported.

There has been fair trade for New Zealand porker pigs at unchanged prices. New Zealand baconer pigs are steady and unchanged.
