NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the provisions of the “Rating Act, 1925,” and amendments thereof, that the Wallace County Council, in accordance with notice given, made on Friday, 9th September, 1938, for the period commencing Ist April, 1938, and ending 31st March, 1939, under Section 120 of the “Counties Act, 1920,” and amendments thereof on the Capital Value of the rateable property on the Valuation Rolls of the Ridings respectively: viz: A General Rate of three farthings in the £ in Orepuki, Pourakino, Waiau and Wairio Ridings: one farthing in the £ in Waimatuku Riding; five eighths of a penny in the £ in Aparima Riding; one half penny in the £ in Otautau Riding; fifteen sixteenths of a penny in the £ in Wairaki Riding; seven eighths of a penny in the £ in Mararoa Riding; and under Section 52 of the “Hospital and Charit- ' able Institution Act, 1926,” a Charitable Aid Rate of three eighths of a penny in the £ on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the County as entered in the Valuation Rolls payable in one sum at the office of the Wallace County Council, Otautau, on the 24th day of September, 1938.
