CLERGYMAN’S SIGHT RESTORED

CORNEA FROM DEAD WOMAN’S

SAN FRANCISCO, August 9.

The Rev. U. E. Harding’s sight has been restored after the removal of the cornea from a woman’s eye shortly after her death.

She was a member of Mr Harding’s church, and bequeathed her eye to him after he had pleaded in vain for one with condemned prisoners in the San Quentin penitentiary.
