TWO ATTEMPTS ON HITLER’S LIFE
JOURNALIST’S STORY OF SHOTS IN VIENNA LONDON, June 19. Mme Genevieve Tabouis, the famous French journalist, writing in The Sunday Referee declares that two attempts on Herr Hitler’s life were made during his recent visit to Vienna. A shot was fired from a window while the Fuhrer was speaking in the Heldenplatz and another shot was fired from the street while Herr Hitler was crossing from the Prater to Semmering; his car was hit. Herr Hitler’s would-be assassins were not caught, and as a (result rigorous measures are being taken in anticipation of his pending visit.
