Entries for the Invercargill Poultry Club’s annual show to be held in the old Garrison Hall, Leven street, to be opened today and continued on Saturday, total 570, comprising exhibition and utility poultry, pigeons, canaries, budgerigars, finches and foreign birds. Entries have been received from as far afield as Methven and, many of the winning birds at northern shows will be competing. Included in the exhibits is an outstanding collection of fancy pigeons that would do credit to any show in New Zealand and a large number of budgerigars, those beautifullycoloured little birds that are becoming so popular with fanciers.
