The Social Round

Miss Gladys Ogg, Spar Bush, leaves today to spend a holiday in Dunedin.
Mr and Mrs R. J. Smith, Dee street, have returned from Christchurch. Miss A. Thomson, of Kennington, spent the week-end in Dunedin. Miss Smith, of Dunedin, is the guest of Mrs A. Henderson, Kennington. Miss -I. Henderson, Kennington, has returned from Dunedin, where she took part in the Easter tennis tournament. Mr and Mrs J. Duncan, Green Island, are the guests of Mrs A. W. Reid, Main road, Mataura.
Mrs C. E. Long returns to Milford Sound today after being a guest at the Railway Hotel. Mrs J. Hensley, who has been visiting her son and daughter-in-law in Christchurch, has returned to Invercargill. Mrs E. R. Bremner, of Wellington, who is staying with her mother, Mrs B.
C. Basstian, Tweed street, leaves tomorrow to spend a few days in Dunedin.
Miss J. L. Dobbie, Dee street, Gladstone, has returned from a holiday at Thornbury where she was the guest of Mrs A. L. Foster.
The monthly dance of the Kennington Oddfellows’ Lodge was well attended. Music was supplied by the Troubadours’ Orchestra and Mr J. Alexander acted as master of ceremonies. The waltzing competition again attracted a big number of entries.
