The Social Round

• Miss Nonie Story, Venlaw, was a visitor to town during the week-end. Miss Rhoda Kappley, who has been the guest of Miss Mavis Cockroft, Leet street, has returned to Christchurch. Miss Sylvia King, Dunedin, returns north today after being the guest of Mrs N. L. Wilson, Wellesley avenue. Mr and Mrs D. H. McLean, Ohaiterua, Caroline, leave by the express tomorrow morning en route to Great Britain and the Continent.
Mr and Mrs J. F. Dundas and Mr and Mrs G. M. Todd, Alice street, entertained a number of friends at the former’s home in Ness street before the Cabaret on Saturday evening. The function was in honour of Miss Lois Douglas and Mr M. O’Dowda, who are to be married next week.
