PRICE OF WOOL REMAINS FIRM

Napier Rates Hold At Wanganui CONTINENTAL BUYERS MOST ACTIVE (United Press Association) WANGANUI, February 25. Prices generally at the second Wanganui wool sale of the season were fully firm on realizations at Napier earlier in the week but showed a marked decline when compared with the January sale. A catalogue of more than 20,000 bales was offered to a full bench of buyers and more than 80 per cent, of the catalogue was sold at auction. Competition was more spread than at the first sale. Continental buyers were the principal operators but Bradford operated freely on some lines and France was the chief buyer of lambs’ wool. Japan was not in the market. The range of prices is:— d. d.
