NEED FOR COLLECTIVE SECURITY
ADHERENCE TO PRINCIPLES OF LEAGUE OF NATIONS (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 25. The following resolution has been passed by the Dominion Council of the New Zealand League of Nations Union and a copy sent to the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage): That the New Zealand League, being convinced that a permanent improvement in international relations can be based only on the principles of international co-operation as defined in the Covenant of the League, and believing that consistent support from the British Commonwealth of nations is essential for building up a system of real collective security, calls upon the Government of New Zealand to reaffirm its loyalty to the principles of the Covenant and urge upon its fellow Governments within the British Commonwealth of Nations the necessity of basing their Imperial policy upon those principles.
