MISHAP TO MATUA
DAMAGE NOT EXTENSIVE (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 25. The Union Company’s motor-ship Matua, which was supposed to have struck a submerged reef at Nukualofa on her last trip, was placed on the Wellington floating dock today. The damage revealed was less than anticipated. There are two dented plates on each side of the ship which do not require replacing, but 50 feet of bilge keel have to be replaced. She will come off the dock tomorrow and leave for Auckland and the islands.
