SPECIAL MATINEE

SPLENDID PROGRAMME AT MAJESTIC THEATRE A diversified and entertaining programme will be screened at a special matinee at the Majestic Theatre this afternoon. Hopalong Cassidy becomes involved in new adventures in “Hills of Old Wyoming,” the main feature. “Hills of Old Wyoming”, presents William Boyd in his familiar role of Cassidy, with George Hayes in support. This film has been described as the best of the long series. The story is set in a large reservation in Wyoming, where a crooked Government agent tries to use his Indian wards as a screen for his sinister operations as head of a cattlerustling gang. Cassidy, with his pals, “Windy” and “Mesquite ‘Lucky’ Jenkins,” is a peace-loving rancher when the picture opens. The three together, with their neighbours, rise in protest, however, at the continued cattle stealing. The Government agent inflames the Indians against the white men. The threatened result is a sanguinary and reckless conflict, which the hard-riding, straight-shooting, and quick-thinking Hopalong Cassidy undertakes to avert. In addition to this there are several “shorts” which include a Cinesound News, a Big League sports thrill; “Horse Collar,” a hilarious comedy; and three of the ever-popular cartoons—- “ The Relay Race,” “Cat Nips,” and “Oswald the Rabbit”—which will keep everyone in a happy frame of mind. A further chapter in the serial “Wild West Days” will also be screened.
