A QUEER CHICK
I wonder if any other cousin has ever seen such an interesting object as the chicken I wish to tell you about?
Our hens are in the habit of running wild. This year one hen sat on an egg and brought out a most interesting kind of chicken. We called it the orphan chicken, as it was the only one, and strange to say
the chick had a red head, like a Rhode Island Red, black wings, and a white and black body. It was a curious sort of object and I will be interested to know if any other cousin has ever seen anything like our chick. -Sent in by Cousin Gwen Waterhouse V.A.C., (Orepuki).
