NORTHERN DISTRICT COMPETITION WON BY BALFOUR At the last meeting of the Northern District Cricket Association, Balfour A was declared the winner of the main competition, having a six-point lead. A competition is now being held for all the clubs in the Northern District, each team to bat for a limit of two bouts. WAIKAIA BEATS BALFOUR Balfour B played Waikaia and was dismissed for 57. C. McKay and A. Lee opened for Waikaia, passed Balfour’s score and retired. Waikaia won by 181 runs, the scores being Waikaia 238 runs, Balfour 57. Bowling for Waikaia, Bishop took three wickets for 16 runs, W. Duff three for 5, Hamer, two fot 17 and Amos one for 16.
