FIRST BALL OF THE SEASON

WYNDHAM CRICKET CLUBS ENTERTAIN The first ball of the season at Wynham was an unqualified success. It was held in the Public Hall under the auspices of the combined men s and women’s cricket clubs, the attendance including visitors from Mataura, Gore and Invercargill. ' The music was supplied by the dabour’s dance band, and Mr John Halliday played an extra. A lucky spot waltz was won by Miss Ellen Cameron and Mr B. Wilson (Wyndham), and Miss Maisie Palmer and her partner won the Monte Carlo waltz. Messrs Harper, Heath and J. Maloney were masters of ceremonies.
