LORD NUFFIELD IN SYDNEY
PRAISE FOR THE AWATEA (Received February 18, 9.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 18. Viscount Nuffield, who arrived by the Awatea today in good spirits, told interviewers that he only had time to drop in at Auckland and shake hands.
“They seem to be cheery and well over there,” he said. “I have had a great time. The Awatea is a wonderful ship. It went over to New Zealand and back at almost Atlantic speed.” Lord Nuffield attended a cricket match this afternoon. He will sail for London in the liner Orion on Wednesday.
