Two crops of potatoes were raised in one season by Mr V. D. Breshnev, manager of the cottage laboratory on a collective farm in the Livny district of the Voronezh Province. Breshnev planted vernalized potatoes on April 29 and dug them on July 12, obtaining 48 kilograms of good full-grown potatoes. The same day he planted a second lot of vernalized potatoes, which he dug up in the middle of October, obtaining 45 kilograms of potatoes.
