Zip-fasteners are very much in evidence in the new models of the season. Plain every-day frocks and elegant evening gowns alike are neatly finished off by this simple method of fastening, which is especially suitable for the more close-fitting designs. For those who do their own dress-making the zip-fastener is the easiest of all openings, and gives the finished garment a professional air. Use zip-fasteners also for hand-knitted jumpers and hand-sewn gloves. Remember to insert the fastener so that the lock can glide backwards and forwards quite easily; if the stitches are too close it will invariably Catch.
