MEMORIAL TO CREW OF SAMOAN CLIPPER
TROPHY TO BE AWARDED ANNUALLY (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 16. The form of the memorial to Captain Edwin C. Musick and his six companions in the Samoan Clipper, who perished in the disaster last month, was provisionally arranged at a meeting of the special committee. It was decided to call the memorial the Musick Memorial Trophy and it is proposed to award it for annual presentation to persons, groups or bodies within the British Empire and the United States of America who make during the year the most valuable contribution towards the safety of life in the air and the most efficient working, of aircraft, with special regard to transoceanic flying.
