Strong Demand For Government

Stocks At Invercargill

There was a strong demand for Government Stocks at current prices at yesterday’s callover on the Invercargill Stock Exchange. A steady inquiry came for banking and industrials shares. Insurance and mercantile shares were quiet with more sellers than buyers and metal shares were steady at improved prices.

MELBOURNE An easier tone prevailed on the Stock Exchange today because of a weaker oversea market, but industrial prices continue to hold their pressure on Mount Morgans which closed weak.
