ABYSSINIANS’ MISTRUST OF PAPER MONEY
LONDON, January 11. The Rome correspondent of The Daily Telegraph says that an official decree provides for the supplying of Abyssinia with £15,000,000 worth of: silver coinage and £2,000,000 of bronze coinage. It is believed that the coinage will raise Italy’s prestige in Africa, obviating the Abyssinians’ mistrust of paper currency.
